Keep Our Church Cool and Safe for All
Donation protected
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Orthodox Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul (158 Stiles Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey, 07208) is turning to you with a heartfelt request for help.
During the hot season, the air inside the church becomes stuffy and humid. This not only causes discomfort for parishioners but also poses serious health risks for people with heart conditions, pregnant women, and the elderly.
Moreover, sudden changes in temperature and high humidity damage the church walls, iconography, and sacred images. Plaster begins to peel, stains appear, wood warps—all of which require constant minor repairs.
To protect both the health of our parishioners and the beauty of the church, we are planning to install an air conditioning system. This is a vital but costly project, and we cannot carry it out without your support. We need to cover the cost of 6 units for the nave and altar area (approximately $5,000 each, including installation), as well as electrical work and necessary wall repairs.
We ask all those who are able and willing to help preserve the church to consider making a donation—whatever amount you can offer will make a difference.
May the Lord reward your generosity a hundredfold!
With prayer and gratitude,
The Parish of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul
