Hi!

My name is Nova I’m 23 and have been on my own since the day I turned 18. I also have a cat named Tuesday who has saved my life on multiple occasions and is my ESA as his presence is very necessary for my mental health. I recently had to quit my job due to various safety hazards such as an oven explosion, a mice infestation, no ac in the kitchen, toxic chemicals being pumped into the kitchen with no ventilation and consistent retaliation from upper management when these issues have been brought up. The conditions there were so bad I unfortunately had to quickly leave for my safety despite not having time to line anything up. Since then I have been searching for jobs day in and day out but there is genuinely nothing out there to begin with and nobody is getting back to me even with a great resume and lots of experience.

I have decided I need to start the process of applying to disability as I have severe Bipolar disorder and it’s already difficult for me to maintain a job but in the past it’s been my only option as I have 0 safety net. My mom passed away this year and my dad is in a different state dealing with severe health issues including having 2 recent heart attacks before hitting 45. Unfortunately, disability is a very difficult thing to be approved for and the process is extremely lengthy.

My amazing roommates were able to cover my rent and utilities for now but I have about a month left before I will lose my room, my cat and all of my autonomy due to my financial situation. I am asking for any support you can provide to keep me afloat and keep my cat fed and with his favorite person while I try to figure this out.
