The Northern Rays Franchise is a part of the Sapphire series hosted by Netball Queensland.
The HART Sapphire Series will align with Netball Queensland’s vision of transforming lives, by providing a semi-professional, local platform for players, coaches and umpires to step up to the national stage. The Sapphire Series will also create local heroes. It will connect young netballers to local heroes who they aspire to be and give them opportunity to watch the matches live at the new Queensland State Netball Center or via live streaming on their mobile device.
Unfortunately this comes at a cost which we have run out of avenues of funds and have been paused from the competition until further notice.
The team and staff are devastated and will try all avenues to get keep us alive with that passion and determination that we have in the north.
No matter how big or small your donation it will be greatly appreciated and we will find in ways to give back to the community that has given us this opportunity to stay
While we have reached our initial goal and are in discussions with potential sponsors, we still need every dollar we can to save this team and the netball journey of every little girl who dreams of being the next Kim Jenner or Cara Koenen.
