Save the Music-Local Shops Matter

I have a dream... 30  years ago I answered a Help Wanted ad for Fred's Music and I got the job. I was quickly immersed in Music Retail(MI) and discovered a new career that I didn't even know I wanted. As time and my success in this new career passed I thought.. "some day it I'd like to have my own store"...As a Musican this would be the "Dream Job".I worked at Fred's for several years and set my sites on "Big Box" MI Retail Sales. Having held positions from Sales to General Manager at 2 of the largest  Nationwide Musical Instrument Retail Chains, for over 15 years, I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in product knowledge. But more importantly exceptional Customer Service, which is at the core of any successful business. I will continue with these principles as Fred's Music moves forward and the landscape of American Small Business opportunity is kept alive.

My mission/vision ... Fred's Music has been "Serving Musician's Since 1972"...WOW...44 years in MI Retail Sales in what is referred to as a "Mom and Pop" Store. The humble beginnings of Fred's Music,as pictured, began in downtown Reading. After a few years Fred moved to the suburban location  with 2 floors! One for Teaching and the other as the main Showroom were it is still located. As seen in my video, a countless number of enthusiastic Music lovers are customers, and friends, of Fred's Music. Including such Artist's as Taylor Swift, who purchased her 1st Guitars here, Joe Bonamassa, Bonnie Raitt, Dave Weiner of the Steve Vai Band who took lessons here, and Richie Kotzen of the Winery Dogs, Poision and an accomplished  Solo Artist and Fred's Customer.
I will continue the legacy and tradition of helping customers of all talent levels...beginner to pro..creating a "barber shop" vibe that is lost in a "big box" environment and where Customer's are more then numbers. With quality products and qualified instructors ,as teaching Music is equally important as selling dreams.

With the money raised.. I will be able to aquire the "seed" funds needed to secure Bank loans that would  be used to purchase the exisiting inventory, displays, etc.

My goal.. to have the funds raised by December 2016 as to keep Small Business America alive and strong.

By accomplishing this.. I can continue to offer Quality Products and the employment of Expert Music Educators  and Professional Repairs to  Music Enthusiasts of all ages in a "Mom and Pop" local small business environment where having customers as friends is at the core.

I am asking for support in my dream.I am a Musician and this is my passion. I support Music Education and am extremely active in as many Local Events as time permits.  From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for believing in me and helping me attain my dream and keeping Small Business in America alive.l
