Keep Miss Kitty in her home!

As many of you know, I lost my mother last week. Her constant companion has been Miss Kitty. She's been with her through moves, through the loss of Dad, and was the most important thing to her in her last years of life when Mom had to move into Assisted Living. Now that mom is gone, they are saying that Miss Kitty has to leave too or one of the other residents has to pay a new pet fee. The other residents enjoyed Miss Kitty's visits and even kept special treats in their rooms for when she'd come by but they're on limited incomes and nobody can come up with that kind of money. The manager of the facility is willing to keep her as a "facility cat", but again, the corporation that owns the facility is requiring the pet fee. Poor Miss Kitty! She's 17 years old and this has been her home for the last 5. I really don't think it's fair to her to move her again and would really like for her to be able to live her life out in the place she has come to call "home".  I'm already low income and am having to use the little bit of money mom had left to pay her final expenses. Would you be willing to help me keep Miss Kitty in her home? Anything over will go towards her required vaccinations, a case of food to get her started and a tub of kitty litter.
