I set this up before the English Channel swim, I had a slightly longer wait than planned but was very lucky to make it all the way from England to France in just under 15 hrs. This swim led to me being part of the Irish Sea Swim team in Sept 2019. We were a team of 6 and successfully swim from Holyhead to Howth, raising funds for the Gavin Glynn Foundation.
The focus has now shifted to Antarctica, this means a much shorter distance swim but a much lower temperature, I did almost pull out of this swim due to severe lack of funds but was reminded that the only regrets you have are for the things you don't do, so I remain hopeful that a sponsor may see something in me that they can work with. At this point I have set up a website and am getting out there doing some talks, in the category of information giving on the English Channel but mostly in an effort to inspire and motivate people to get out there and find a way to do whatever it is that you want to do, not specifically swimming.
As always thanks for any support by way of a donation here but even just for taking the time to read the information and maybe passing information about me on to a potential sponsor or telling somebody about me who has a group I could speak to. There is no charge for talks, it is the only way I can give back for the generosity that has been shown to me both here but in the time people have given to help me achieve these big swims.
