Keep LPCCA Running for Lansing's Recovery
Tax deductible
Lost Province Center for Cultural Arts is a 501(c)(3) located in the heart of Lansing, North Carolina, which is reeling in the wake of the devastating floods cause by Helene. We are currently operating a donation/community center on our campus. Starting this weekend all donation operations for the greater Lansing area will flow through our organization. In order to do this we will be pausing operations of our arts programming.
Here is what we're doing instead:
The historic Lansing school is housing donations of clothing, shoes, bedding, towels, baby clothes, diapers, sanitary products, toiletries, detergent and cleaning supplies. We have MREs and shelf-stable food boxes from the amazing folks at Musician's Mission of Mercy. We also have a generator lending library on the top floor of the school operated by BROC of Ashe.
The LPCCA classroom building has working showers with toiletries and towels for folks who need a shower. We've set up one of the classrooms with a few school desks and chairs plus power strips as a quiet workspace. We hope to add a space for counseling and social work as soon as we're able to coordinate with the county.
Our parking areas are being utilized as drop off/pick up zones and a drive-through donation pick-up areas.
Our staff have been working tireless to help serve the community despite their own impacts from the storm.
We are in need of donations to fund our organization through the end of 2024 so that we can keep our campus running and staff employed.
PLEASE NOTE: These donations are to support LPCCA and its staff. If you prefer to donate directly to those affected please consider a donation to BROC of Ashe.
LPCCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
