Keep LDT Open Save the Theatre

We Need your Urgent Help
Living Drama Theatre Needs your help. We have worked very hard as a family owned business to bring this community wonderful shows and concerts. This theatre has been so much more to so many people, It's a home away from home. We have enjoyed building this incredible extended family. Unfortunately without immediate help we will not be able to keep the doors open past the end of the month. It is with a heavy heart we are writing this email. This is the last thing we would want to have to do. But this is a community theatre and requires community support to stay open under normal circumstances. Ticket sales only covers a small portion of the operating expenses. After being closed for almost 9 months from the Covid-19 pandemic, it put us in a very difficult financial bind. The bills came in while the doors where closed. Also many of you know, Michelle Duarte the wife of Pj, (that many of you know personally), has been battling an incurable illness. Her dream is to leave a family legacy in this community and even from her bed has done all she can to assist the family in the dream. Even getting up when she can, to direct a show with help from her friends and family. You can imagine the additional strain that has been placed on the entire family, trying to run the theatre and be there for her. With that being said they would not have it any other way. They are building more than a great theatre they are building her dream and helping her and her husband build a family a legacy. To bring professional quality family entertainment to the Lake county area, To have a place the community can truly be part of and feel like they are at home. To bring the arts to a generation that is loosing it from the public schools. Early this month they received notice that back debts must be paid by the end of the month or surrender the building. They have been at work to trying to obtain any funding available through grants, loans etc. At this point nothing has come through. Even PPP monies have run out from the government. They are asking for your help. So often many of you have asked what you could do or how you can help. This is when they need you the most. They must raise $48,000. It may seem like a lot. But honestly if everyone can give something they can reach that goal and save the theatre. There have been other theatre's in the central Florida area and around the world, in the same situation and through the help of the community and local businesses have saved their theatre. THE ARTS MATTER. The worst comment they could hear is " Why didn't you tell us you needed help, we could have saved the theatre." Below are links to donate and what you will receive for your donation. Please look over them and try your best to help. We know everyone is feeling the strain from the pandemic. We are only asking for you to do what you can. For some of you that means prayer and we gladly take that too. But for some of you, your financial support could change everything for LDT. Thank you for your time and considering helping us save this amazing theatre, making a difference in the community and helping a families dream come true.
