<div>Funding for Kal’s immigration legal fees etc. is needed to keep him safe and with our family here in SF. Our family just experienced a few of the most nerve wrecking weeks in relation to his immigration status that we’ve ever had.
</div>
<div>Thankfully the universe answered and Kal finally found the exact lawyer he needs for his case as a Palestinian who has been stateless since birth/ living as a refugee in diaspora his whole life.
</div>
<div>And as many of you know I am a public school special ed teacher which limits us financially-you could say ‘I bring home the bacon…bits.’ Insert our daughter’s eye roll here.

<div>All jokes aside, while it is not easy for us Leos to ask for help, the impact of detention and/or deportation would have a devastating impact, especially on our daughter who is currently not only dealing with this but so much more as well. IYKYK ❤️‍ We appreciate any amount you can spare for this first phase of legal/filing fees-if you can spare any. We know times are tough for so many. Another way everyone can help is to share this far/wide. Any action to help us prevent the possibility of detention and allow us to continue to retain Kal’s amazing badass lawyer is appreciated. The ultimate goal with this fundraiser is to make sure we keep our family together (phase 1) and work towards Kal obtaining legal status (phase 2). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
