Keep Jayceon Home

My second cousin, Jayceon, was born on May 8, 2017. He was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure due to a severe mitral valve regurgitation on May 10th. In his short 3 months of life, he has been to the ER 8 times. He has actually spent more time in the hospital than at home. He will soon need to have a valve replacement surgery and he will need multiple surgeries as he outgrows the mechanical valve. Currently, an amazing team of cardiologists at Yale Children's Hospital have been working together to come up with a perfect regimen to keep Jayceon home and stable until his surgery which has not yet been scheduled due to his size and weight. My cousin, Crystal, found a job a month after he was born but lost it due to his frequent hospitalization. At the risk of losing her home, she has made Jayceon her priority because he needs her by his side to love on him and administer the 6 medications throughout the day that he needs to be stable. She has applied for governmental support but the approval process takes several months. In the meantime, I decided to start the gofundme page to at least help her pay her rent for the rest of the year so that she can focus on taking care of her baby along with her three other children without fear of eviction.
