Keep Holly Running 2018

Donation protected
Holly Sullivan was born with Amniotic Band Syndrome,  a birth defect which caused abnormalities to all four of her extremities. It affected her right foot the most, and she had multiple surgeries as a child to try to improve the foot.
Despite the success of the surgeries, her foot continued to cause her major issues, such as immobility, poor circulation, cellulitis, and intense pain as she grew older. After researching and meeting with multiple surgeons, Holly decided, at age 15, to have her foot amputated and begin life with a prosthetic leg. The surgery took place in May of 2016, and after an intense recovery process, Holly was walking on her first temporary prosthetic leg in August 2016! With the help of her physical therapists, Holly re-learned how to walk, balance, take stairs, and eventually run with her new leg.
It is now two years later, and Holly's leg is no longer fitting into her prosthetic, which is quite painful. This happens to amputees, as their extremity shrinks in size for two years after the surgery.  Please help us keep Holly running in her new prosthetic leg!
