Keeping Grassroots football alive in Erdington

Hi there everyone.
On behalf of Holly Lane United FC I have set this Go Fund Me page up to help raise valuable funds to help keep the club alive and grow for the future.
Established in Erdington the 1990s we are one of the longest running and biggest Grassroots football clubs in the North Birmingham area. With over 15 teams for boys & girls with age groups from U7s through to U18s we currently provide football training & matches for over 350 local kids.
Keeping any amateur sports club afloat these days is tricky but with the recent COVID-19 situation it meant no football based activities could take place for the club. We like everyone else had to suspend what we were doing which has been very frustrating for everyone involved. With the suspension of activities it has meant no money from our regular monthly subscriptions coming into the club and with committed financial outlays for pitches & training facilities it has left club finances rather strained to say the least. During the period of March to June of this year the club has lost almost £16k in lost revenue due to the recent pandemic.
This has all come at a very crucial time for the club as we have just moved to our new Home at Spring Lane Playing Fields. This is our own home and one that could be the centre of the local community for years to come and help the Club reach the next stage of its growth potential. Not only that but this move will guarantee the future of the club for all the current kids who rely on us so heavily, but more importantly for the kids of the future who are yet to join us.
We face a huge problem though as even with the move to our new home we urgently need money to not only make it a safe and secure place for the kids to train and play, but we also need vital equipment in order to start the new season there in this September.
This is where your donation, your vital gift to the club will help us achieve our goals and we guarantee of course that every £1 raised goes into the club will benefit the boys and girls that we develop through their love of football.
Please help us reach our target of £10,000.00. Whatever your donation large or small it will all help us.

- urgent repairs to fencing
- goalposts & nets
- training equipment
- match day kit
- ongoing maintenance & ground equipment
