Building Hope: A Tribute to Billy Abernathy
 
Every home tells a story. Today, we're writing a new chapter that brings together three powerful forces for good: the life-saving work of Flight For Life, the community-changing mission of Appalachian Service Project, and the lasting legacy of Billy Abernathy.
 
We're raising $150,000 to create something extraordinary. 
 
Of this amount, $120,000 will go directly toward building a new home through the Appalachian Service Project for a family in need – a project nominated by Taylor Dover in honor of their beloved grandchild, her grandfather William "Billy" Abernathy.

Flight For Life has been a beacon of hope for countless families, providing critical supplies and services when minutes matter most. But today, we're extending our mission beyond our core mission and entering into the Recovery and Rebuild phases. We're building something permanent – a home that will stand as a testament to Billy's memory while providing shelter and hope for generations to come.
 
The Appalachian Service Project has been making homes warmer, safer, and drier for Central Appalachian families since 1969. This isn't just about building walls and laying foundations. It's about lifting up communities, one family at a time.
