Building Hope: A Tribute to Billy Abernathy

Every home tells a story. Today, we're writing a new chapter that brings together three powerful forces for good: the life-saving work of Flight For Life, the community-changing mission of Appalachian Service Project, and the lasting legacy of Billy Abernathy.

We're raising $150,000 to create something extraordinary.

Of this amount, $120,000 will go directly toward building a new home through the Appalachian Service Project for a family in need – a project nominated by Taylor Dover in honor of their beloved grandchild, her grandfather William "Billy" Abernathy.

Why This Matters:

Flight For Life has been a beacon of hope for countless families, providing critical supplies and services when minutes matter most. But today, we're extending our mission beyond our core mission and entering into the Recovery and Rebuild phases. We're building something permanent – a home that will stand as a testament to Billy's memory while providing shelter and hope for generations to come.

The Appalachian Service Project has been making homes warmer, safer, and drier for Central Appalachian families since 1969. This isn't just about building walls and laying foundations. It's about lifting up communities, one family at a time.

Your Impact:

Every small donation you contribute works twice as hard:

• First, it supports the ongoing mission of Flight For Life, ensuring we can continue providing emergency disaster services to those in critical need

• Second, it helps create a new home through ASP, offering a family the security and dignity of a safe place to call their own

The Mathematics of Hope:

Our goal of $150,000 breaks down to:

• $120,000 for home construction through ASP

• $30,000 to support Flight For Life's ongoing emergency disaster services

Billy Abernathy's legacy lives on through his family, friends, and his beloved Grandaughter Taylor Dover who has touched many lives. Now, through this unique partnership, we have the chance to honor their memory by creating something lasting – a home that will shelter a family in need and stand as a reminder of how one life can inspire a community to action.

Join us in this mission. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps build this dream. Together, we can create a legacy of hope that would make Billy proud.

Let's turn this dream into reality. Donate today and be part of something bigger than all of us.

All donations are tax-deductible. Updates on the building project will be shared regularly with donors.
