Keep Fisher Safe: Support the Gibsons' Journey

Two years ago, The Gibsons hearts were shattered when they lost their precious baby girl, Magnolia, at just 20 weeks and 5 days pregnant. There are no words to describe that kind of grief, and yet, by the grace of God, they were blessed with another little miracle — a surprise pregnancy that has filled them, their friends and family, with hope and love.

At 16 weeks, Darby underwent a preventative cerclage due to an incompetent cervix — a procedure meant to help her body hold onto this sweet baby boy, Fisher. And for a while, it worked perfectly.

But now, heartbreakingly, at the exact same gestational age as when they lost Magnolia — 20 weeks and 5 days — They’ve learned that Darbys cervix has shortened drastically, is funneling, and Fisher’s water bag is dangerously low in the funnel.

Darby is now on full bedrest as she does everything in her power to keep Fisher safe and growing until he reaches viability. Every day matters — every hour matters.

This journey has been emotionally and physically exhausting, and the Gibsons are now facing financial strain as well. As both Darby and Damien started new jobs less than 12 months ago, Darby is ineligible for FMLA and is facing losing her health insurance.
