Keep Corning Musical!
Donation protected
For the past eight weekends that Market Street has been closed to street traffic, visitors have been treated to free live music on each block of Market Street.
Not only did this add to the great atmosphere on Market Street for outdoor diners and passers-by, but it also gave paying gigs to 74 musical acts, and attracted restaurant and bar patrons.
Live music has been one of the hardest hit industries since the COVID-19 pandemic. Public performances on Market Street give musicians and audiences an opportunity to enjoy music in a safe environment.
The previous eight weeks had been funded by Corning's Gaffer District. Now that those funds have exhausted, we're asking for your help!
Market Street will be closed Fridays and Saturdays until October 11, and we'd like to keep live music going for the duration of the street closure. This would employ an additional 32 musical acts and attract diners to local eateries and breweries.
Each donation goes to support local performing musicians and the donation cap is $5600.
