The Lovely and Talented Carolyn Mark. Queen of Vancouver Island. If you know her, you know how incredibly special and important she is to the Canadian and International music world.
2 vans have quit on her in the last couple of months, sucking up all her dough. She's broke! It ain't right.
We need to keep this genius songwriter and touring champion on the road.
How many thousands of bands has she put up and fed at her house? How many tens of thousands of people has she inspired, with her music and her fiercely independent attitude? How many glorious parties has she been the life of?
She needs a low-cost but reliable van. Something that will run, trouble-free, for a few years at least. We figure about $5000 should do it. If we get more than that, she can buy an even more solid van. Or use the money to put gas in it.
If you're among the legions who have had their lives made less boring by her, and you have a few spare bucks, you ought to pony up to keep her going. Can you spare a 50? Or what? The world would be a hugely suckier place without Carolyn Mark doing what she was born to do. Come on.
