"Captain Dave's Boat Cruises For Special Kids" Gives - Free Boat Cruises & Fishing Trips To At Risk Children, Children With Handicaps, Special Needs, Serious Illnesses, Foster Children And Those Who Have Lost One Or Both Parents Due To Death, Divorce Or Abandonment. We Are A 501 C3 Non Profit Charity.

We are in a time of desperate financial need right now. Both of our boats unexpectedly needed very large and VERY expensive mechanical and engine repairs this summer. As a result, we have very little money left in our account for gas, food and operating expenses. We treat each family that comes aboard to lunch or dinner and ice cream after their cruise. We also pay expenses and hotel fees for families that come from a long distance away to go for a cruise or fishing trip. With our account as low as it is, we may soon no longer be able to do that. We will also have a lot of trouble paying for our dock spots, winter boat storage and start up expenses for next spring. (One of our dock spots costs $3,800. for the season). We just found out to my great dismay, that our biggest, nicest boat (which has two V8 engines) has a crack in one of the engines and that engine is over heating. We will have to operate it on only one engine for the rest of this summer, which means going slow and not going to far away from our home dock. This boat will need a new engine installed in it next spring which will cost somewhere between ten and fifteen thousand dollars!
