Keep Akiko

Akiko has been selflessly giving to the Twin Cities arts community for the past several years, being a social justice  warrior to benefit the voice of our community! Whether it's Barebones, Raw Sugar, or Intermedia Arts, you will find Akiko at the heart of the action.  She has endured some financial strife as of late in relation to her immigration status, her van (which she has most definitely given all of us a ride in at least once!) and needing to upgrade her technology. Being a freelance artist and serving at a restaurant does not equal money in the bank. Akiko has been living a simple life, mostly fueled by her creative passion and giving to so many of us. I know she would not necessarly be forthcoming in asking for our support so I wanted us to be able to have an opportunity to support HER!! WE LOVE YOU AKIKO! YOU ARE A TREASURE TO THIS COMMUNITY AND INVALUABLE TO US. We all know the Twin Cities arts scene would not be the same without her bright presence.
