<div>First, we want to thank every single person who has helped us so far. Because of your kindness, we were able to stay housed and avoid ending up homeless. Your support has meant the world to us, and we truly wouldn’t have made it this far without you. We have some good news — and some urgent news. The good news: we found a new apartment that’s much more affordable and will finally give us some stability. We were approved and even put down a holding deposit, thinking we had until the end of the month to get everything in order. The urgent news: the property manager just informed us they can only hold the unit until this Friday, August 15th (due to unxpected delays in the acceptance process) In order to keep it, we must pay the prorated rent and deposit before close of business that day. If we can’t, we lose the apartment — and there’s nothing else out there that we can afford. We are in need of $700 to close the gap and secure our future home. This is the final hurdle. If we can make this payment by Friday, we’ll be able to move into a place that will keep our rent low and give us breathing room every month. If not… we’ll be back to square one, facing uncertainty all over again. This last-minute news is quite unexpected, and time is incredibly short. Any amount, no matter how small, will help us reach the finish line. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign could still make all the difference.
