In the heart of New York City, my lifelong friends Trudy Silver and Bruce Morris have created something truly special—5C, a 501(c)(3) organization…a small but powerful space where music, poetry, and performance come together in support of underrepresented causes. Through intimate gatherings, they and their community of artists have raised funds and awareness for families of incarcerated people, climate justice, Yemen, the fight to end the arms trade, Gaza, among other critical issues.

This space isn’t just a venue—it’s a refuge for creativity and social justice, a place where art becomes a force for change. But keeping the doors open in NYC isn’t easy, and they could use a little help to cover rent and expenses.
