Keash Community MUGA Pitch

Keash Village Enhancement Ltd are undertaking a major fundraising drive to provide a MUGA Pitch (Multi Use Games Area) facility adjacent to Keash Playground and Keash NS.

 

Back in 2007, we as a committee began to develop a field adjacent to Keash NS as a community Park with Phase 1 been a Playground. Recession set in and restricted our Fundraising drive and the years quickly went by. This Project was later picked up and in May of 2018 we were delighted to complete and open the Playground to the community and visitors, with thanks to all the hard work, donations from the public, The Garland Sunday Committee and a Grant from Sligo Leader Partnership. It was then time for Phase 2

 

The MUGA PITCH

 

In 2019 we began planning, fundraising and applying for grants. We were delighted to have been approved by Sports Capital funding for €15,200. As time moved on Covid 19 set in and restricted our planning to fundraise through local events and social gatherings. We are now in a race to begin the project as costs have increased and our time limit on the grant is narrowing in on us. We do not want to let this go and wish to give it one last drive! When we started the Playground we never gave up and continued our 'Vision' over the 10 years and today we may have one of the top playgrounds in the County.

 

As of May 2021 we have approximately €15,000 fundraised to date and a grant of €15,200 on offer which leaves us at €25,000 short of the average quote of €55,000.

 

The MUGA PITCH will provide the children of Keash, Culfadda and all surrounding areas with a clean, non-slip and safe area for a variety of sports all year round. Staying Active is so important for the mental and physical health of our children and this facility will help create this positive environment.

 

 

We now need your help to finish this project! We are appealing to present, past and future residents and Visitors to the community, their families, local businesses and beyond who may be in a position to help us achieve our goal. All donations large or small will be very much welcome and most appreciated. We truly believe that the addition of the MUGA pitch will be transformative for the Community .
