Keane Family Emergency Fund

The Keane family as a whole has been dealing with the consequences of addiction for quite some time now. We all have our own opinons about addiction, but like any other disease, it is treatable. My dad has finally reached out to his family for help recovering, and we are doing all we can to help. Tom Keane, as many know, is a diligent hard worker, compassionate father, trust-worthy friend, and valuable member to the surrounding community. In the past decade he has devoted countless hours to his parish, friends, and family going above and beyond what is expected of him. He is always there when you need him, and now it is time for us to be there for him. For years, my dad, Tom Keane, has struggled with addiction while trying to maintain his active, social, and busy life. He has hidden it well over the years, but now has come to a point where he needs help. I cannot even begin to explain the sadness that has overtaken mine and my sister's life, watching our dad wither away to nothing, all while losing his spark for life with each day passing by. He has been unable to work as much, due to his failing, frail body, unable to pay his bills, and unable to live on his own. He is at risk of losing the house my sister and I grew up in, with only a small amount of time to save it. He has reached out to me and my sister, Megan, and stated he cannot do this on his own. We, along with our extended family have been trying to figure out ways to help, and are trying to find a place to best accommodate
him. He needs treatment, along with medical attention to help get him back on track. He has not seen a doctor in over 10 years and is in desperate need of medical attention because of other unidentified medical problems. I, Mirinda Keane am setting up this account without the permission of my father and against the wishes of my sister to try and help. Tom Keane is far too prideful to ask for help when he needs it, and my sister cannot financially help him on her own. Anything you can offer would be tremendously appreciated. It will help my dad get better, help us from losing our childhood home, and help get the Keane family back to who we used to be.
