Baby AMELIA HARRINGTON Update page

January 12th 2015. Jane and Shane had their 3rd Daughter who was due on the 8th. Amelia Jane Harrington was born at 4:18 weighing 7 pounds 1.5 ounces and 21 inches long.

She was a little floppy (poor tone), other then that she looked healthy. That same night about 12AM things were a little off, low blood sugar, Low body temp along with a other concerns.

The doctor had Amelia moved to St. Joe's NICU. Over the next 24 hours Amelia started getting worse.
Her doctor wanted her to go to Spokane Washington to their Level 4 NICU. They had the teams of nurses and doctors that Amelia would need.

January 14th the Med Star Airplane flew Jane and Ameila to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children's Hospital in Spokane Washington.
Life has been crazy with everything Amelia is going through the past few days. She has had numerous blood tests, x-rays and ultrasounds to determine what is wrong with this precious baby girl. 

She has a very severe infection and they are not quite sure where or what type of infection it is yet. Her blood sugar is up and down her body temperature has been up and down her white cell blood count is dangerously low. She also had severe jaundice and billie ruben in her blood.The doctors will be doing a  spinal tap to try and rule out meningitis or a couple other things. It could be a long stay for this baby girl whose family misses her, some who havent even gotten to meet her yet. 

Jane and Shane are on the wait list for the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane for a place to stay while they are there. They have a 13 and 15 year old back home that also need them so they will be making the 2 hour trip back home to check in with them as well. The older girls have family and friends to stay with for now. To top things off they are also needing to find a new home to live as they are losing their home. With Gods help they will get through this and their precious baby girl will come back to them healthy. Thats whats important.
