Dear family and friends,
Shai and I have an opportunity to go to Comitancello, Guatemala for a construction/medical/evangelism project. This opportunity is sponsored by The Bayou Church in Lafayette, Louisiana. We will be serving October 28th through November 4th. Our team will visit and encourage church leaders, participate in street evangelism, do light construction, medical work, and lead Bible classes for the kids. We will be involved in the required training and orientation program covering such things as language, history, geography, culture and related Biblical studies to prepare the team for this experience. We are confident the Lord will go before us as we are faithful in this preparation.
The trip is being funded entirely through donations and by those going on the mission trip. Everything that will be used on the trip must be taken with us. This includes all the medical supplies as well as material for Vacation Bible schooling and construction of homes.
The trip will cost approximately $2200 per person for travel, airfare, supplies, and in-country expenses. $850 is due by July 23rd to cover the airline ticket and the trip balance is due by October 1. The church is requesting that all donations be in by this time. Would you be willing to consider contributing financially to making this ministry a reality?
We are looking forward to seeing how God will work in and through me to fulfill His purpose. We also hope to grow closer to Him. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated. We will be sure to tell you of my experiences when we return. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
