Above is Lady's only freedom photo she ever had, I am sorry to say it didn't last long....Below is her current condition..I warn you it's not for the faint at heart :-(
Meet Lady Originally pulled from the Manhattan NYC ACC on January 10, 2014 by NY Pet-I-Care. Lady was orginally adopted by a family whom had full intentions to keep her forever but fairly quickly she exhibited signs of fear/aggression towards men. The family obtained a trainer & the suggestion was for the dog to be returned to the rescue, which she was. Lady was placed into reputable boarding facility & has remained there since that time approximately 365 days & has become severely kennel bound & cage aggressive. NY Pet-I-Care sent trainers in to try to help Lady but she was always returned to a cage which is innefective & most of her problem. She is in mental pain, she deserves a reprieve. Please help me to get her to the sanctuary Forever Home Rehabilitation Center in VA. As you can see by the video attached below, outside of the kennel she is not the tormented dog & can have a somewhat normal life in the hands of the experience/caring folks at the psychology center. This video is not intended to show anything other than the possiblity/not guarantee of what her future may be able to look like outside of a kennel after a loooooong road of recovery. The trainers involved have expressed thier concerns of this dogs conditions being severe in nature & all this has been communicated to the rehab center.She has hope as she easier bonds with women, however this walk ended up in a warning bite... the trainer stopped filming as the dog became increasingly nervous and later the dog grabbed her arm but let go with a warning. At this point the dog got assessment that she is suffering from severe fear aggression but in experienced hands with time she can improve but needs a calm environment.Her transport will also be held by the rehab center themselves for a fee to ensure a safe transport.
Thier staff are equiped & ready to accept her. Lady has only 2 options, and a choice needs to be made. I feel in my heart she is owed this chance & has beared her cross for far too long. My role in this as always is to intervene on the dogs behalf & make a difference. She is located in Safe folder 99 on Urgent Part 2 on Facebook.
