C.J.'s Medical Fund

I am 20 years old and battling brain cancer for the second time. I had a tumor at age 12, which was surgically removed and treated with chemotherapy and radiation. In April 2017, I began experiencing headaches, facial numbness, dizziness, and nausea. It was found that I have a grade III anaplastic astrocytoma which is inoperable due to its location and involvement with my brain stem. This tumor is possibly caused by the radiation treatment I received eight years ago. At age 12, my parents and family were with me and supported me every step of the way and we are currently working together to seek second opinions to confirm each diagnosis and treatment plan. We are exploring whatever possibilities there may be throughout the country and elsewhere. Your financial support makes traveling to, paying for, and receiving any of these treatments possible. I am a 2015 graduate of McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio and I am currently pursuing two Bachelor's Degrees at the University of Akron in Marketing Management and Integrated Marketing Communications. I plan to overcome this battle with brain cancer with the same hard work, determination, and positive attitude that I used to overcome the first battle and many other challenges in life.
