PLEASE HELP ME GET TO AMSTERDAM!

Hello everyone! My name is Kierra Clark. I am currently completing my sophomore year at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia as a political science major with a pre-law concentration. This year I was blessed with an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This upcoming Summer (May 2015) I was chosen to take part in an intercultural exchange program (study abroad) in AMSTERDAM! How exciting is that?!? Although I will fortunately be recieving a partial scholarship, there is still a remaining balance I will need to pay in advance in order to go & I will also have to purchase my own plane ticket, which is around $1,600 dollars alone! I would hate to miss out on this life changing experience. I personally believe that traveling out of the country is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and the first step towards becoming a global citizen. Embracing a different culture, meeting new people, and seeing new surroundings are all the makings of a well-rounded individual. Europe would definitely be my ideal first out-of-country experience! I believe that being a part of this intercultural engagement program is the perfect opportunity to start my journey as a world scholar and traveler. I have always dreamed of traveling to different regions of the world, immersing myself into new customs, and making global friends along the way. Being part of this program will have a positive impact on myself personally, academically, and professionally. Please help me raise the sufficient funds I need to take this journey! All monetary gifts will be used towards my plane ticket, program fees, transportation, food, and any other expenses associated with this trip.
