Urgent Kidney Transplant Costs

My name is Junior Vazquez-Picasso, I am a 31 year old aspiring multi-media artist, who for the past 7 years has been struggling to survive. I was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Failure in 2012 and have been on dialysis ever since. In order to stay alive I have to do dialysis 3 times a week and must keep an extremely strict diet. I had almost lost hope of ever being able to have a normal life, due to my health becoming more complicated as I got older. Thankfully, I have been blessed as my dear friend Antonieta Gonzalez has offered to donate one of her kidneys to me. After months of doctor appointments and countless tests we were finally given the great news that we are a match. We have been scheduled for surgery on September 11, 2019 we are extremely excited. Yet, as happy as we are, we are also very worried for what lies ahead. We have been told that our recovery will take anywhere from 1 to 3 months. During that time I will need to be under 24 hour care and need to be kept in a sterile room. I will not be able to drive or perform any of my basic needs. As for my donor she will be in pain and will be unable to work or care for her children. She will need a lot of help as she is a single mother of 3 boys. She needs to find a way to transport her children to and from school as she will not be able to drive. As well as help with household chores because she will be unable to lift anything and must allow her body to adapt to having only one kidney. Unfortunately, we do not have anyone that is able to help us with these things and would need to hire a nurse or care provider for our recovery time. My goal is to raise enough funds to help provide the care needed for our healthy recovery. I also want to help my dear friend, so she can have the help and support she and her family will need during the difficult road to recovery. It is the least I can try to do for the selfless act she is doing for me. I don’t want her to suffer any hardship for the good deed she is doing. Unfortunately, without enough money we are unable to obtain the help we desperately need. We will have a very difficult time surviving and healing properly. Please help us during this time of need.
