KCD Dance Blue

Kentucky Country Day is supporting Dance Blue, an initiative to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and treatment out of the University of Kentucky.

These students and teacher will be shaving their head (from left to right): Mr. Copley, Michael Spine, Maya Rao, Liam Gallagher, and Mason Touma. We are so proud!

Here's what each has to say about it.

"I am so proud of all the students working to make DanceBlue a success. Their commitment to this cause has compelled me to shave my head as well. While I might not be getting rid of a lot of hair, I hope to show my solidarity with those battling cancer.” - Mr. Copley

"I am so excited to shave my head and support the kids who don't get to make the choice to go bald. I want them to know that they are not alone." - Michael Spine

"I am shaving my head for my grandma who died of breast cancer only months after I was born. Everyone in my family always compares me to her and notices our similarities. I am shaving my head to continue her legacy." - Maya Rao

"In the past, I shaved my head for pediatric cancer. Since it is such a worthy cause, I can't help but do it again For The Kids!" - Liam Gallagher

"I want to shave my head because if there is anything I can do to help improve the lives of the children, I'm in." - Mason Touma
