My Dear Friends,
This is a message that I hope will be conveyed from my heart to yours. I am writing to ask you for help at this important moment in my life. You are receiving this letter because we are joined in the mission we all have been assigned and accepted; grounding Light on earth.
My place, for various reasons, karmic and earthly, is to be holding the pillar in the center of a number of circles of healing, learning and Light reception. In truth, the only real credit that I can take for the many beautiful things that we get to witness in those circles is that every time I have been asked to take another step in my training and in my own healing (most often the same thing) in these last 40 years, I’ve said yes. Material considerations and life convenience have not been among the main criteria for agreeing to do what has been presented to Jane and me over these decades. And because I was raised to be truthful and honest, and because I have been given the immeasurable blessing of being surrounded by people of huge integrity- as family, colleagues, students and clients- I have learned to hold my place with some of that same integrity.
The rest has been grace.
And like many people in my position, I had to learn the hard way that taking care of the many people was meant to include myself. Two years ago my family sat me down and did an intervention. They were no longer going to stand by and worry that I was exhausting myself traveling 7 months a year, teaching, leading ceremonies, giving counsel and seeing clients, and then coming home and leading ceremonies in our community and catching up on writing, without demanding that I examine myself and make some serious changes. They pinned me down. I flailed and writhed a bit, and then I listened. I began to incorporate more down time in my life. I developed a regular meditation practice that I had been guided for years to take up. I began to exercise in earnest.
Which brings me to today, and my request of you. As we know, we are multi-leveled beings. We live simultaneously in matter and spirit. And when we become aware of our multi nature, it becomes incumbent upon us that we care for our various levels, all of them. Add to that that the work we do in our various venues is consciously designed to both address and challenge those multi levels, and we come to the program for my own health, well being, and strengthening that I’m asking you to help me realize.
Over a year ago, I discovered Ayurveda. It has proven to be of huge benefit for me. It cleans me, calms me, strengthens me and sustains me on the levels of my physical, etheric and emotional bodies. The process of Panchakarma has been of great benefit to me. Recently I have been offered a space to receive Panchakarma at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque for two weeks at the end of March. I need the funds to pay for half of the retreat and treatment time there, having been gifted the other half. I need to buy my plane ticket.
The cost of that will be $3500.
The other level of care that I need to attend to if I am to be able to continue our mission with health and clarity and protection, will require me to go to Brasil. Just as Ayurveda has come into my life to care for my matter and my emotions, my Brasilian spiritual path has given me the tools to learn from and serve the Light. What I teach and the healings that happen in our circles are made possible because of that powerful spiritual alignment that the Brasilian connection affords me and therefore us. It has given me my guides, the guides of our work and taught me how to help others find their own spiritual channels and guides. And there is a periodic renewal of that connection through an initiatory ceremony that is essential. I need to receive that initiation to re-enforce the protection of those guides for me in the many places and situations I am called to interact with. That initiation will happen in May in Brasil. The cost of going to Brasil, staying for three weeks and receiving that initiation will be $6500.
My request is for a total of $10,000 dollars. I am asking you to consider giving me whatever you can and feel called to give to help me defray those costs.
You already have my gratitude and my love in our sharing this work at this moment on earth. I am grateful for your love, your good wishes, your prayers and your positive thoughts at this strong moment in my life. They sustain and help me. And you have mine. On the most important levels, that is our treasure.
