Hello, my name is Kayley and I have a tumor!

This "old man" tumor doesn't develop in most people until they are older so they get left alone. I unfortunately get to have this gastrointestinal stromal tumor taken out along with the whole of my lower esophogeal sphincter (ie: no more regular diet, spicy foods that I love, or lifestyle from now on...)

It took me three surgeons to find the correct specialist, as this tumor is in a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad spot. The doctor's and nurses say this will affect my body like a car accident, meaning I will be wiped out for quite some time. This is calling for a five hour surgery, 10 days recovery in the hospital, six weeks bed rest, and 12-15 weeks out of work.

I will need help with my bills while I'm down for the count until pretty much the new year. Anything will help, I'm even planning on a flaming hot final supper before I go under!

Of course my loving man, cat, friends and family will be around when I return, but I need all the peace of mind I can get. Any support is appreciated more than you know before the surgery, as no doubt I am very scared. Please help if you're able.
