Kayleighs Heart

Hello, my name is Jessica Dasilva and I am raising money for the beautiful baby pictured, her name is Kayleigh Rose Baracewicz. Kayleigh was born July 22, 2022 with a Interrupted Aortic Arch (IAA) it is a rare heart condition that happens when the aorta doesn't form completely. The aorta is the heart's main pipeline, carrying oxygen-rich blood to the body. Normally, it's shaped like an arch or curve. In an interrupted aortic arch, part of the aorta is missing, leaving a gap. Kayleigh had open heart surgey which went well, but cardiologists also found besides the interruption in the aorta arch which was about 2 cm wide, was a large whole in her heart and also a bicuspid valve instead of a tricuspid valve. Kayleigh has to stay at Children's Hospital in Boston for a month. Both parents Brittany and Phil will not be able to hold or feed their daughter or do any of her care for quite awhile. I am asking for help as Kayleigh's parents will need to be close to their daughter until she is ready to come home. Brittany and Phil did not qualify for housing with the hospital and hotels in Boston are very expensive. Please help by donating anything you can so they may stay in Boston to be close to their daughter. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Please not only help a family but help yourselves and your children by getting regular checkups. This is very important to me, as I myself live with heart disease, and due to it being genetic made the decision in my early years to not have children. Seeing Kayleigh fighting for her life makes me angry, sad and scared, no baby should have to go through this. Having parents denied housing to be near their daughter while she pulls through heart surgery is just one of the many problems in this country. Your heart helps other hearts in pain.
