We are writing this for our beautiful little girl Kaylee who loves life and enjoys spending time with her family and playing with animals.
When Kaylee was a year old she had tubes placed in her ears because her ear canals did not have proper drainage. At 3 years old she underwent tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. When Kaylee was 4 years old she had a tympanoplasty on her right ear, which is a surgery that takes a skin graft and uses it to patch the hole in her eardrum. It was successful and Kaylee said, "Mommy I can hear". When she was 5 years old the doctor performed a tympanoplasty on her left ear. The graft was rejected and the doctors decided to prolong surgery. If another surgery was held too soon and the graft was rejected again it could result in permanent hearing loss in that ear.
Kaylee is now 9 years old and her recent surgery in November tympanoplasty for her left ear is starting to reject the skin graph that was put in. She currently has 23% hearing in her left ear. The doctor also discovered that extra skin grew over her right eardrum causing it to sink in. She will eventually need corrective surgery in her right ear.
Kaylee's insurance covers her airfare and mom to fly with her.
We will be traveling to another island and need to stay there for her recovery until the doctor gives us the ok to fly back home.
We are asking for donations to help Kaylee recover safely( hotel, rent a car, and for her daddy to be there for surgery and We greatly appreciate any donations you are able to make on Kaylee's behalf.
