Kayla's Canadian West People to People Trip

Kayla is raising money so she can go with the group People to People on a 12 day journey of a lifetime to Western Canada. This is not just a glorified vacation OH NO! On her journey she will learn skills that will stay with her for the rest of her life. She will be meeting and working with a Paleontologist, a Marine Biologist, and members of Canada's Parliament. She will go on zip lines, walk across glaciers, and enjoy hot springs. She will go on a whale watch, drink water from the oldest and purest snow in the world, and ride a gondola across the Canadian Rockie Mountains. She will live for two days with a Native American Tribe and hear stories from their elders while sleeping in a teepee. She will learn to travel internationally and what it means to be a good Ambassador for the United States. She will return wiser, more responsible and with a greater world view.

Furthermore, through the process of raising funds for this trip she will learn persistence, she will learn banking, and she will learn about the generosity of others and how to pay it forward. She has to raise about $5,000, which will help cover the expenses of the trip, gas money to and from the pre-trip meetings, and help to get her the things she will need for her trip including a passport and new luggage.
