Kaylan Strong

Let's back up to Sept, 20th 2017. Just another normal day at school as a SENIOR,  "Class of 2018." The best year of all school years.  When that day takes a horrible turn, Kaylan has a seizure at school and goes to the hospital. Dr visit after Dr visit, wrong diagnosis after wrong diagnosis. Then an MRI is done on Sept, 28th, Sept 29th the Dr calls and advisies the family to get her to Vanderbilt in Nashville ASAP.
Oct 1st spinal tap possible MS? Comes back good. All the while dr's are not wanting to say,  nor faimly wanting to hear the dreded.
October 6th Biopsy is done. Home for the weekend. Good times, family, friends,  Pumpkin carving party, & Gatlinburg trip. Living life as a normal 18 year old SENIOR.
Oct, 11th Diagnosis ANAPLASTIC GLIOMA, an aggressive milignant tumor. stage3-4. Surgery is in her future........
Oct,17th consultation with Brain surgeon, Oncologist, Neurologist, Surgery for Oct,19th. was scheduled. Which brings us to now.....
Temporary paralisis on left side, Not able to open her eyes at this point, not able to speak, nor form sentences.  This is the beginning of a long rode. She will move to a inpatient rehab last week in Oct, a few weeks there, then straight to radiation 5 days a week. They will be in Nashville for many more weeks/months to come all your prayers are so needed and appreciated. The financial burden is something NO parent should hold. This time needs to be spent caring,& loving this young lady! Humble and appreciative, Darla Brewer(aunt Darla)
