A Car for Kayla Grace

Donation protected
For Shane & Lisa Steward, "Black Friday" will never be the day they scored a great deal at a crazy holiday sale. It will always be the day that left them reeling when their seemingly healthy toddler, two-year-old Kayla Grace, was diagnosed with Stage IV High Risk Neuroblastoma

After weeks of tests to confirm the diagnosis, New Year's Day marked the start of an aggressive 18-month treatment plan. Stage 1 involves five rounds of chemo, each requiring a five-day hospital stay. A fever means another three days. Toward the end of Stage 1, Kayla will have surgery to remove the tumor from her chest.

Stage 2 starts with a 30-day hospital stay; Stage 3 will be six months of two other intensive treatments.

Lisa stays in the hospital with Kayla during her treatments. When they aren't in the hospital, there are clinic visits.

Kayla is being treated at Seattle Children's, the leading hospital for this type of childhood cancer. Family and friends are helping care for their sweet one-year-old little boy, Roan. But there is one item that would make a huge difference: A second vehicle.

Currently, the Steward family has only one car, so Shane has to drop Lisa and Kayla off at the hospital every time they go. If Lisa needs to go to the store or run home to kiss her baby boy goodnight, she has to wait for someone to pick her up and drop her back off.

Let's relieve some of their burden on this journey by raising the funds so they can get the second vehicle they need!
