Kayla Dupree and Family

Please give to help the Dupree’s as Kayla fights against acute myeloid leukemia.

Kayla was admitted to the hospital last Sunday with Covid symptoms that were not improving. She is 35 weeks pregnant with her 4th baby, a little boy, so they were initially concerned for the baby because of her severe symptoms and high fever. They admitted her for observation of the baby, did some routine blood work, and found that her platelets were severely low. This caused the doctors to be very concerned and dig a littler deeper. After serveral rounds of testing and a painful bone marrow test,  Kayla was given a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. 

 This cancer is extremely aggressive and requires immediate treatment. She is being induced tomorrow evening in order to start treatment right away. Their baby boy will likely go to the NICU, and due to Kayla’s recent COVID diagnoses she will probably not get to see him. She will then be admitted to inpatient oncology for three weeks to start her first round of chemotherapy. During that time she will not be able to see her husband, her children, or even her brand new baby. This will be the hardest part for her and she needs all of your prayers and love and support.
