Kenya Mission Trip

As most of you know, FCA is very near and dear to my heart. I served my last time as a huddle leader at Saint Simons Leadership Camp this past summer. Leaving camp, I began praying that God would allow me to serve along FCA in a different way. Through FCA at the College of Coastal Georgia and The Kenya Project, I have the opportunity to go on a mission trip during spring break to Nakuru, Kenya from March 6-15. We, a few of my former teammates and my former assistant coach, will be holding a five day sports camp for the girls and boys that are in 5th-12th grade. We will be coaching basketball, volleyball, football, and soccer. After six years of The Kenya Project sending people to Nakuru, we will continue to lay the ground work for a permanent sports mission. The promotion of sports with the young children is a great way to break down the language barriers and show Gods love. I am very excited to see the work of God being done with all types of people, in such a different world than what I know. Serving at FCA camp for three years, during every season, I feel God has prepared me to respond to the call of international missions. Ministering to children has become such a big passion in my life. I heard about the amazing things God has been doing in Kenya from my teammates that went last year. I find great joy when I am able to serve others and show them Jesus!
