Sweet, spirited and vibrant Kayden was surrounded by his family when he passed away  on February 16, 2020 just days after his 6th birthday due to complications from pulmonary vein stenosis. He is survived by his mother, Leyda and siblings Putney, Angel, Sabrina and Amber. Anyone who was blessed to have met and interacted with Kayden could not help but fall in love with his infectious playful energy and love for music.

Since birth, Kayden’s condition required around the clock care. He lived most of his life in the hospital where he found a special place in the hearts of the doctors, nurses and staff. Leyda, who is a single mom, was his primary caregiver. In order to care for her special boy, she was unable to work. To meet his needs, these circumstances forced them to relocate to a family shelter to be close to Boston Children’s Hospital.

Kayden’s passing has brought his family pain and stress along with a steep financial burden. At this moment, the final costs have yet to be determined. This fundraiser is being organized by the family who will ensure that all funds raised will go towards funeral and ongoing expenses.

During this time of loss and sadness, the family would like to thank everyone who has kept Kayden and his loved ones in their thoughts and prayers. Leyda Marcelino could use your help during this trying time. There is no donation that is too small. Thank you.
