Hi, my name is Shona, and I’m fundraising for our dear friend Gosia, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. Her chemotherapy treatment began on Friday, 6th June.

For those who don’t know Gosia, she is a warm, loving, and devoted wife to her husband Janek, a caring friend, and a dedicated mother to Kaya, who is soon to turn 10.

Over the Easter break, Gosia began feeling unwell and developed breathing difficulties. After being admitted to hospital, doctors discovered a build-up of fluid, and further tests revealed a diagnosis of aggressive, late-stage cancer.

This has come as a devastating and life-altering shock for the family. Gosia now faces a challenging course of treatment and will be unable to work for the foreseeable future.

We are reaching out to the community, friends, and all who may be moved by their story, to help support Gosia and her family during this incredibly difficult time. With your generosity, we hope to ease some of the financial strain caused by unexpected medical and living costs, so they can focus their energy where it’s needed most—on healing, and being together as a family.
