Kause for Kerry

A few days ago the unthinkable happened, devil came knocking and our family got news no one ever wants to hear. My Father was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. This came to be a tremendous shock for all of us, as he has always been very healthy. When speaking with the doctors they were at first uncertain of how bad it was and what stage he was in. Several tests were ran with nothing giving a clear answer of the situation until today. The doctor was finally able to see a clearer picture through an MRI that was done the day prior and the verdict was stage 3 with possible stage 4 with further testing on a certain area. We are very grateful that we have a strong team of doctors and nurses to help him go to battle with this devastating disease. Our dad has always sacrificed so much for our family throughout our entire lives, he's always supported us through everything in our lives. He's always been up lifting and would do anything for all three of us kids. He has always been so kind hearted and willing to help anyone in need at the drop of a hat, he would even give a complete stranger the shirt off his back if they needed it. He is the type of man that this world needs more of, or what I hope his two grandsons and granddaughter grow up to be like, that one person you can count on no matter what. Now its time for us to stand by his side and help him battle through the hardest things he's ever had to face. The road ahead is going to be very long, and extremely difficult as chemo, radiation and several surgeries are in the near future. Due to how quickly the cancer has progressed he has been out of work for two months now, and is projected to be out of work for six months to a year. Our mom is working but currently part-time so she can help take care of him and take him to and from appointments. As you can imagine something like this takes a massive financial burden on anyone. I am creating this account in hopes to raise some money to help lessen the financial burden that has already started building with this devastating disease. We have prayed and prayed to God for strength and guidance throughout this horrible time, and he has sent us an amazing team of doctors and those small reminders that everything will be ok. We know God doesn't give us anything we can't handle, and he knew our dad could handle anything. We don't want to be another one of those GoFundMe pages you see that's asking for support for some of the most ridiculous things. All we are asking is for our family, friends and community to help a good deserving person battle through one of the toughest battles life throws at you. All we are asking is if you could donate a $1 or even a penny, as every penny helps, we as a family would forever be grateful to you. We understand that times are tough for many people right now, so any assistance or even that extra daily prayer would be forever grateful. He will be undergoing his first surgery on Friday for a Colostomy bag, this is huge for him seeing he has not been able to eat anything other than broth's for almost two months now. Then in two weeks the hardest parts begin with the chemo and radiation. We would be so grateful if you would keep our dad in your daily prayers as we embark on this long, and draining emotional journey  we have ahead of us. We pray for strength for our dad that he can battle through this, and courage to keep him going each day. This is not something I never thought we would have to deal with, but we know God's in control and everything will be alright. If you can donate anything, even a prayer or any uplifting advice we would be extremely grateful to you. Thank you all and God bless.
