Hi Friends, I was just diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). It's a rare blood cancer and the only cure is a bone marrow transplant, which I hope to be a match with one of my sisters or brothers. Everything is moving very quickly and adding up even faster. One of the particular costs, which insurance won't cover any of, is freezing my eggs. The chemotherapy, radiation, and bone marrow transplant will prevent me from having a baby. But if I can freeze my eggs now, I might still have a chance at having my own baby via surrogate when these rough times are behind me. That is my wish for the future and it keeps me hopeful that I will get through this. I am so grateful for all your help. Thanks for reading my story and I truly appreciate all your love and support!
