Katy's Flood Relief

My good friend Katy woke up to a flooded house and car. This is the result of the storms passing over Nashville as Hurricane harvey leaves Texas and Louisiana.
The people who continue to have their lives impacted by the storm will not receive the same news coverage. I have seen this with my friends in Mississipi after Katrina. It took much longer for lives to come back, without federal funding and help.
Katy is a single Mom and owns a local neighbourhood yoga studio offering classes to the community. She gave up her career to follow her love for yoga, and to help others. If any of you have known how difficult it is to keep a small community yoga studio afloat amongst the MacMats of the world, know how hard she works!
Katy has been my student, and now my friend, and I hope we can all find someplace in our hearts and wallets to help her get back on her feet.
The funds are to cover the costs of insurance deductibles, car replacement and house machinery replacement - washer/dryer/water heater/etc
Sadly, in 2010 she had the same experience, and cannot afford the costs to get back on her feet without help. At that time, 6 feet (!) of water came into the house and took out her basement. Thankfully, her family is safe, and we are helping her to replace and repair her home.
Katy will continue to teach yoga for the community as Lotus Blooming Yoga in Nashville TN. Please support her and her studio by donating to our fund.
