Katy's Medical Treatment Fund

Katy was recently diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis, a rare and debilitating condition that restricts blood supply to the bones and joints. In Katy's case, she is losing critical vitality in both hips. Her femur is vastly deteriorating from the lack of blood flow to her tissues, and the bones in both hips have begun to collapse.

Shortly after being diagnosed, Katy's employer faced company-wide layoffs. She was devastatingly impacted - losing not only her job, but also her health insurance. Katy is only 28 years old. She lives each day in constant acute pain and immobilization, relying on a wheelchair or walker for even the most basic movements. 

Treatment: At this stage of Necrosis, a total hip replacement is required. This critical surgery and the potential it has for Katy's health and future will not be possible without your generous assistance. Please help us make a difference for Katy!

The goal? Raise $10,000 to get Katy into surgery and begin treatment as soon as possible! With all of our help, Katy and her family can begin paying for the necessary medical expenses, hospitalization, rehabilitation and medication.
