Home-stay/volunteer in Maasailand, Kenya

Help me travel to Maasailand, Kenya to live with a Maasai family for a month and work with their local non-profit- The Masai Youth Outreach Organization (MAYOO)!
I grew up between Valencia, Spain and San Diego, California and am fluent in both English and Spanish and also speak some French. I am currently living in New York City, where I am an actress and student at NYU, majoring in Media, Culture and Communications, with a minor in Entertainment Business.
Coming from a bi-cultural family, traveling has always been a priority in my life. When I was in fourth grade, the small school I attended in Spain founded a school and birthing center in Kenya which triggered my interest for the region for years to come.
I finally find myself in a position where I am old enough and confident enough to travel to Africa on my own and learn firsthand about a culture and lifestyle so different from any of the European and American lifestyles I have been a part of throughout my childhood. In addition, I am grateful to not only have the opportunity to learn and travel, but to give whatever I can to help the youth in the area through teaching, cooking and promoting their cause. As a student of media and broadcasting, I intend to create a travel vlog to document my trip.
This page is meant to help me fundraise for airfair, Visa and vaccine costs, food/lodging expenses and additional travel costs.
