Katy & Levi Fire Relief

This is Dan Nilsen of Pleasant Hill, Ca. and brother to Katy Nilsen.

As with many families in Sonoma County, the Nilsen Family has been directly affected by the fires. My sister Katy and her longtime boyfriend, Levi have lost their home in Santa Rosa.

They were two weeks away from finishing a remodel (reason for dumpster in driveway) and then going to sell their home and move. 

Katy moved many of her possessions out with the remodel and planned move to prepare for selling the house. However, Levi was doing much of the remodel work and still had all his possessions in the house. Levi is a musician and handyman and lost all his instruments, tools and clothes in the fire. Levi escaped with the clothes on his back, literally being chased out by the fire.

They also have several pets that thankfully made it out safely and are doing great. 

This effort is being put together to help them in the short term for immediate needs as they try to return to some sense of normalcy. Some of these funds would be spent on the Instruments and tools that will allow Levi to return to work. Additional funds will be spent replacing clothes and other essential items that will allow both Katy and Levi to return to work and to a more normal daily life as soon as possible.

The Fundraising effort will continue for several weeks, but the plan is to make funds available to Katy and Levi ASAP allowing them access to this account and these funds for their immediate use.

Please help if you can, anything helps and will accumulate to something meaningful for Katy and Levi.
