We are raising money to help with Medical bills for an amazing person. Kim (Thorsfeldt) Katuta has dedicated her adult life to a school for at risk kids in Africa, as a young adult she was "passing through" on her journeys and just never left.
Kim has made a difference to so many kids and families and the school has thrived with her dedication, as well as the dedication from a wonderful group of people.
Well this year has been especially tough, earlier this year she needed knee surgery and had to pay for most of the medical expenses up front. This week she was told she has a 10cm x 10cm cancerous tumor that has wrapped itself around one of her kidneys. She is going in for surgery to remove the kidney and the tumor, while she has insurance to cover some of the expenses it won't cover them all. Update: Kim's surgery went week, they removed a kidney and the tumor. She has been in ICU since the surgery on October 4th and as of today is still in ICU and received a blood transfusion.
Her faith has helped her through so many obstacles and challenges over the years, we are all praying for her and the medical staff to see her through this one as well!
Any help is appreciated including additional prayer for the medical team and Kim's healing!
