Kat’s India Volunteer Trip

I will be traveling to Jaipur, India on February 24th and staying for four weeks to volunteer with the Sankalp Volunteer Society.
While in India, Sankalp will provide food and lodging for me while I participate in their 4 week Work & Travel program.  Volunteer work will include teaching English and other skills to underprivileged local children on the weekdays.  On the weekends I will be visiting places around Rajasthan including Ranthambhore, Pushkar, Jaisalmer, and the Taj Mahal.

I have long been fascinated with the culture and religious philosophies of India.  I am excited for the opportunity to experience them for myself while serving others.

I’ve been working to pay for this trip primarily on my own, including the cost of the program, passport, vaccinations and travel visa.  I’m asking for help to cover the cost of things like airfare, hotel stays during layovers, and other small expenses while abroad.
