Katie\'s Archaeology-by-way-of-Chocolate Fund

Any budding archaeologist will tell you that field experience is competitive, essential, and expen$ive. This summer, I have been invited to return to a phenomenal new site in Israel called the Jezreel Regional Valley Project (JVRP)/ and it\'s mother project, Tel Meggido. As a staff member of JVRP, I am lucky enough to have my housing and meals covered for the 1st month. The rest of the funding is my responsibility.

My biggest funding obstacle is the dreaded plane ticket, and then my living expenses for the following 2 months.

Well, here is my inventive (and hopefully successful) solution. I expect to work for it! ... by making gourmet chocolates. With every donation over $20, I will send a box of my chocolate buttercreams, truffles and caramels (a list of the inspired flavors to follow). For donations of multiples of $20, I will send the corresponding number of boxes of chocolates ($40 = 2 boxes, $60 = 3 boxes etc...).  

My buttercream chocolates are made with dark chocolate, confectioners sugar, butter, and honey instead of corn syrup, and can be kept for up to a month. I am also experimenting with healthier recipes that use coconut oil, but they aren\'t perfected yet. 

My most popular chocolates are peanut butter-honey-cinnamon heart truffles, orange-grand marnier buttercream cups, cocao-kahlua buttercream shells, mayan truffles, coconut cream, lemon drop buttercreams, almond-amaretto buttercream squares, peppermint crisp disks, coffee bean/almond bark. I\'m always experimenting with different flavors though. Every box is unique as they are homemade chocolates, but the boxes come with a chocolate legend so you know what type of deliciousness you\'re about to sink your teeth into.
